Buy with care

Back in France at the end of 2024, offered only as a plug-in hybrid (2.4 petrol and two electric motors, 306 hp, 22.7 kWh battery). Very recent model: little track record on reliability, and no Euro NCAP rating could be found. A software recall for the multimedia screen (reversing camera) has been issued in Canada and the United States.

Frozen multimedia screen and reversing camera (software recall)

Manufacturer recall

The multimedia screen can freeze or go black, and the reversing camera image may no longer display; the fix is a software update at the dealer. Recall issued in Canada (Outlander PHEV 2023 to 2025) and in the United States; we have not found a confirmed equivalent recall for France: check with the serial number.

Fixed free of charge by a dealer and not counted in the reliability score: ask for proof the work was done (invoice, or a VIN check at a dealer).
