Verdict

Buy with care

Ferrari's first four-door, four-seat model, unveiled in September 2022. It comes only with a naturally aspirated 6.5-litre V12 producing 725 hp, four-wheel drive and active suspension (Italpassion, Autotijd). The model is recent, and the only recall found concerns a risk of brake loss on 2023-2025 cars: check the chassis number for it. The sources document no other recurring fault, but the track record is short, so a complete history within the Ferrari network is essential.

Known faults

Recall: fuse box short circuit and loss of braking

Manufacturer recall

In 2025 Ferrari recalled 2023-2025 Purosangue: the power cable of the fuse box can touch the passenger's footrest and cause a short circuit that lights the brake warning light and reduces braking capacity (NHTSA, recall 25V479; Transport Canada 2025395). The dealer fits a plastic spacer free of charge. Transport Canada states that Ferrari recommends not using the vehicle before the repair.

Fixed free of charge by a dealer and not counted in the reliability score: ask for proof the work was done (invoice, or a VIN check at a dealer).

Inspection checklist

Things to check

  • Check with the chassis number that recall 25V479 (fuse box, brakes) has been carried out at a Ferrari dealer.
  • Check that the brake warning light works and that there are no warning messages on the instrument cluster (Transport Canada).
  • Require a complete service record carried out within the Ferrari network, and an inspection of the active suspension by a specialist.
  • Test the rear counter-hinged doors and the central screen, which critics describe as unintuitive (The Car Expert).

Questions to ask the seller

  • Has recall 25V479 (fuse box, RC 92) been carried out? Do you have proof from the Ferrari network?
  • What is the complete service history, and has the car always been serviced within the Ferrari network?
  • Is it a standard car or a Handling Speciale, and which expensive options are fitted?

Test-drive tip: read the fault codes

A warning light that is off proves nothing: a fault may have been cleared just before the viewing. A Bluetooth OBD2 scanner, plugged in under the steering wheel and read on your phone, shows stored codes and whether all emissions readiness tests have run since the last reset.
