1.6 D-4D 112

  1. EGR cooler and valve of the 1.6 D-4D (BMW origin)

    Manufacturer recall

The EGR cooler of the 1.6 D-4D can leak over time, generating deposits in the EGR module and the intake manifold. Toyota launched a recall in France for vehicles built between April 2015 and May 2018, including the Auris II (L'argus). L'argus also cites the 1.6 D-4D EGR valve as a weak point in its reliability review.

Fixed free of charge by a dealer and not counted in the reliability score: ask for proof the work was done (invoice, or a VIN check at a dealer).
