Our conclusion
Two urban SUVs with 5 Euro NCAP stars and the maximum reliability score (5/5) in our sources. The Yaris Cross has no documented recurring fault, but the press points out that it still lacks long-term feedback; the Captur II mainly has electronic bugs. The Captur offers more room (422 L in petrol versions, sliding rear bench, against 397 L for the front-wheel-drive Yaris Cross and 320 L in AWD-i) and comes in petrol, hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions. The Yaris Cross, hybrid only, offers AWD-i all-wheel drive.
