Ibrida 136 e-DCT6

  1. Recall: fire risk on the 1.2 hybrid (48 V starter-generator)

    Manufacturer recall

On the hybrid (MHEV) Junior built between 27 November 2023 and 18 December 2025, the clearance between the petrol particulate filter tube and the protective cap of the 48 V starter-generator is less than 10 mm. In wet conditions, water ingress can cause an electric arc and a thermal event, with a risk of fire. Rappel Conso recommends contacting a dealer.

Fixed free of charge by a dealer and not counted in the reliability score: ask for proof the work was done (invoice, or a VIN check at a dealer).

  2. Recall: fuel leak on the high-pressure line (1.2)

    Manufacturer recall

A Stellantis recall covers the pipe between the high-pressure pump and the injection rail on the 1.2, affecting 2,108 Alfa Romeo Juniors according to L'argus. A leak can cause excess fuel consumption and a fire risk. The fix consists of tightening the pipe nuts and the rail bolts, at no cost to the customer.

  3. Recalls: Matrix LED headlights and power steering calibration

    Manufacturer recall

Two recalls affected the Junior, all engines, built until December 2024: incorrect alignment of the Matrix LED headlights (798 cars in France, corrected by a learning procedure at an approved garage) and incorrect power steering calibration that can disable the lane departure warning in bends above 90 km/h (771 cars in France, fixed by a calibration update).

  4. Hybrid e-DCT6 gearbox: jerking, lock-up or protection mode

    Severity 2/3 · Costly

Fiches-auto reports jerking, gear selection lock-ups, mechanical noises and sometimes early gearbox replacement on the hybrid Junior; a software update may reduce the problem. An Italian specialist site describes a gearbox stuck in one gear with the engine warning light on. These reports are based on owner feedback, with no manufacturer bulletin or official statistics.

Read fault codes

An OBD scanner plugged in under the steering wheel shows stored fault codes, even with warning lights off: useful during the test drive.
