Our conclusion
Two compact SUVs with 5 stars at Euro NCAP (2014 for the Qashqai II, 2016 for the 3008 II) and low reliability in our sources: 1.5/5 for the Qashqai (oil consumption on the 1.2 DIG-T, Xtronic gearbox, emergency braking recall), 2/5 for the 3008 (faults on the 1.2 PureTech and 1.5 BlueHDi). The 3008 has the bigger boot (520 L against 430 L). The choice comes down to the engine: 1.3 DIG-T on the Qashqai, 1.6 BlueHDi 120 or plug-in hybrid on the 3008.
