Our conclusion
The Yaris IV wins on every documented measure: reliability of 5/5 against 1/5 for the C3 III, whose 1.2 PureTech and 1.5 BlueHDi engines have serious faults, and 5 stars at Euro NCAP (2020) against 4 (2017). The C3 has a slightly bigger boot (300 L against 286 L) and is available with petrol and diesel engines; the Yaris is sold only as a hybrid. Our advice: the Yaris.
