Digital instrument cluster switching off (recall)
Manufacturer recallToyota recalled more than 80,000 vehicles in France, including the C-HR built between 3 October 2022 and 22 April 2025, for a fault in the 12.3-inch instrument cluster: the software stores too much data in memory and the display can eventually stop lighting up, with no speed reading and no warning lights (L'argus, La Voiture). The fix is a free software update; on the plug-in hybrid C-HR, an inspection comes first and the cluster may have to be replaced (L'argus, La Voiture).
Fixed free of charge by a dealer and not counted in the reliability score: ask for proof the work was done (invoice, or a VIN check at a dealer).
